FOR BOROUGH COUNCIL
I am a proud resident of Rutledge and work as a Research Scientist at Penn Medicine. I am committed to maintaining Rutledge as a beautiful, clean, safe, and supportive community. I will promote collaboration and transparency in our borough’s communications and governance.
I have served in our borough in volunteer and paid capacities including as the Majority Inspector and Clerical Assistant. One of my favorite parts is working with our neighbors.
Campaign Interests
History
Rutledge has a rich history that can guide us moving into the future. I would like to serve the community by volunteering my time to prepare for major historic events and through public projects that document our borough’s history. As a council member I can help encourage us to reflect back on what Rutledge was, is, and can be.
Archiving, curating, and sharing our Rutledge history will help us better understand who we are as a community today and project how we will be in the years to come. Our history unites us and makes us stronger.
Health
The failings of Prospect Holdings should be a major concern of all local municipalities in our region. If Crozer Health were to shutter their doors, access to critical life support in our area is at risk.
As a Ph.D. in microbiology, I am not a physician but I engage daily with our healthcare system from the inside and feel like I can act as a strong liaison between our borough and other municipalities as we navigate these issues.
Being a borough of our size, coordinating our response with neighboring municipalities will be critical.
Nature
The conservation and preservation of our local wildlife brings great joy to many of our residents. Our decision to voluntarily make our properties hospitable for native wildlife is dependent on our knowledge and skills.
I am dedicated to offering additional resources and tools to help our neighbors create spaces that support healthy, happy wildlife in our community.
